The Nii Tagoe Afro Funk Band
Formed in 1995, FRITITI’s dynamic band has been recording, performing and participating in events around the world. The band consists of a number of musicians originating from a wide variety of countries- Ghana, Cameroon, the Caribbean, Germany and U.K., creating a sound that blends traditional, funk, jazz and highlife styles with a modern twist. The result is a full-energy explosion of sounds that draw inspiration from the cultural diversity of the musicians, as they bring together their experience, knowledge and love of music to get crowds up on their feet.

Osibisa’s legendary front man, Teddy Osei & Sol, is a long-time admirer of FRITITI’s music and he is a source of encouragement to the band, allowing them to play new versions of their songs at live gigs. FRITITI’s band is available for live gigs, festivals, recordings, radio, TV broadcast and private functions.

Acoustic and Drumming Ensemble
Taking traditional African rhythms learnt by Nii Tagoe on his 24-year discovery of African music and dance through the continent, FRITITI’s acoustic ensemble is a living, breathing part of Africa on the stage, in the street, and in people’s lives. The group of drummers, singers, dancers and acrobats, dressed in their authentic colourful costumes, perform amazing feats of rhythm and skill at conferences, festivals, religious events, exhibitions and private functions.
